Attention, all you would-be musical producers: A team of real-life Broadway bigwigs including Kristin Chenoweth will weigh in on what it takes to put on a show in the October 28 episode of The Apprentice. Contestants on the NBC-TV reality series will be given the challenge of holding a backers’ audition for two new Broadway musicals on the stage of the Shubert Theatre, home of the 2010 Tony-winning best musical Memphis.
In addition to the always outspoken Promises, Promises star, the judges will include Apprentice executive producer and host Donald Trump, Memphis producer John Yonover and veteran Broadway producer Daryl Roth.
This season, The Apprentice returned to its roots with “real people” contestants (all of whom have lost their jobs) rather than celebrities. Many of the weekly challenges have had a pop culture bent, including planning a fashion show and creating a viral video. The winner will receive a job in the Trump Organization with a six-figure salary.
